Why has OpenPLi abandoned settings for 1/3, 4/6 and 7/9 buttons in playback mode?

Huh? Menu not set to the correct level?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

So, what is correct level and how to make it visible?

It's under menu - setup - system - expert settings - recording, if I see it correctly visible on any menu level.

You must set 'expert' there in "User mode"

One more time this prouve that the different levels introduced in OpenPLi 6 are useless since the solution is always to activate the expert mode.

I really wonder how many people really use the default mode...

That depends on your definition of "people".

If that is "people that have an account on this forum and are active here", probably 10% (of most of those simply because they haven't bumped into it yet) .

If that is "all end-users of OpenPLi and derivatives world wide", it is probably closer to 90%.

You have to be careful when you put yourself into the shoes of a real end-user, it is where most "technically-savvy" people go wrong.

Other forums too explain that they need to change the menu level to get access to options. End-user that purchased a new STB and ask the seller to configure it for them get them in Expert mode.

So I don't think that most of the OpenPLi end-users are using the basic level, which is I think really too basic so the solution is always to switch to expert mode. The in between mode (advanced) is never advisable, so probably never used.
