Grrrmbl it was not intended that the new flashimage stuff ended up in rc... that was why I fixed this part in develop. Sorry for the chaos!

If this now added to rc, maybe remove it from the known issues in the Wiki?

Has the Multiboot plugin the ability to manually flash custom/non-openpli images from a local directory?

Yes... you can download another image and put it as zip on the root of an USB stick or root of hdd... then foreign images can be flashed from the ui... you’ll find it under the downloaded cathagory.

You "might" have to tweak the receiver model name in the zip to see it, depends on who produced the image (theres a check for .zip and "model")

Yep... the package should have a correct box name... only images that are intend for your hardware should be viewable...

Yes, I do that (root of my hdd) but I can only see the main screen of the FlashImage where it opts you to download the images from the feed. Red and green buttons are only activated! Where are the downloaded images? I don't have a USB stick on my STB!

And a general idea, why not adding the capability for custom images to be read from an images folder like OpenATV?
