Hello,
I am trying to setup a development environment for the DM500+, however the default CVS does only build DM500 and DM7000 and DM5x.. images. Any idea how to get a proper working DM500+ development environment?!?

Dank je, Thanks, Danke Schoen, Merci, whatever....

The 500+ needs an openembedded image, start with the makefile you find here: http://schwerkraft.e...ot=opendreambox

Hi

I looked at the Makefile, and it needs a package called MTN, I guess you need Debian or so ?!?! Tried to install it in Fedora but does not work unfortunately...
Secondly, tracing back in the link above, the site does not seem to contain the complete CVS root for the openembedded environment. I am a bit new in this Dreambox arena, am I looking in the right place or completely overseeing something ?!!?!

I am lost... :-S

One step further....

I ran: make -f Makefile-opendreambox image
works fine until mtn starts complaining about the fact that oe.mtn is too old (and it tells me I am misusing is, duuuh).
maybe I need an older mtn (whatever it is)

mtn (monotone) is a source control application.
I guess it gives you hints about how to convert your oe.mtn to a newer version, if you don't want to downgrade mtn itself to an older version.

Converting oe.mtn to a newer version is a very lengthy process. It took more than a day on my PIII-800.

Some day I messed things up and needed start over. Instead of converting oe.mtn to a newer version, I installed the older version 0.31 of monotone. Works fine for me and is a lot faster :).
