Issue with the capabilities of the LCD display? What make and model? Is it 4K capable? How is the gbue4k setup? 1080 2160 ?????

Good thinking!!! Perhaps I should have had that 2nd cup of coffee so I was awake before hitting the keyboard!

Having said that, afraid he is correct - the standard display on the gbue4k is poor (on OpenPli and other OE-A images) compared to my other boxes like the gbuhd4k and the ET8500 - but both have larger LCD displays.

Maybe not the correct skin_display.xlm in the image? So it still has the old standard one based on ancient dmm resolution

Where is that picked up from during the image build?
Normally when I flash an image and setup new, I use the boxes LCD, but with the gbue4k the text at bootup is so small you need a magnifying glass to read the text. ....

There should be on our github a skin_display_nameOfBox to make that specific on the build...usually you see now how bad the resolution was on those old dmm displays.. ;)
Maybe you can copy one from the other gb4k as to your box for testing
