I never use e-channelizer.  So I am not familiar what it does.

I have done some work on IPTV (can be found here:  https://github.com/d...laylist2bouquet ).

But in order to judge if it is applicable in your case, I need the m3u (or m3u8) file from your provider.  Be carefull not the bouquet file from the provider.

This file can be modifed by you to remove your username and password (replace them with some dummy values, with a texteditor)

If you do not want them here on the forum, you can send them with a PM.

I have send you a mp...

1. First of all you need to have bash on your receiver.  Just install it from the feed:

opkg install bash

2. The copy the .m3u file from your provider to somewhere on your receiver.  The folder /tmp/ is fine.

3. Unzip the attached script and copy it somewere on your receiver.  /home/root/  is a good candidate.

Make this file executeable. i.e. change the properties of the file so it is executable (755)

4. Run the script.

First cd to the folder you place the script.

cd /home/root/

and run the script.

./m3u2bouquet.sh /tmp/name_of_your_m3u_file Provider TID ServiceType

Replace the parameters with your values:

"Provider: Provider Name, to identfy the entries in the bouquet and channels file"
"TID: Up to 4 digit hexadecimal number, to disguish the services from different providers"
 "Servicetype: 1, 4097, 5001 or 5002.  If omitted 4097 is used"

The provider name can be anything you want, but do provide something

TID: provide a number like 1 or AA, just to disguish these channels of this import to channels from a different provider.

Servicetype:  Mostly use 4097

This script will create Bouquetfiles with an unique service ref for each channel, and link this service ref to the EPG ref in the custom.channels.xml file of EPGimport.

After the script you will see the extra bouquets on your receiver.  You can import then the standard rytec sources in EPGimport.

It is possible that channels are missing EPG.  This has then be troubleshooted.  It mostly mean that the data in the m3u file was not present or point to the wrong EPGref.

No that is OK.  It is the first time you run it and the custom.channels.xml does not exist yet in your /tmp/ folder.

the script gives an error but it does not matter.  And I never came too of fixing this.

But you should replace the values.  the name_of_your_file should be replaced by the name of your file.

I am sorry, but, in fact, it doesn't work.

For all the new bouquets added, the name is  : "<n/a>".

I have rebooted the receiver, and launch EPGimport.

Rerun the script with 4097 instead of 5001.
5001 and 5002 only work when the serviceapp is installed

Hi.

This morning, i did it again.

I have deleted all the bouquets added previously, and i relaunch all the procedure.

The result :

mini_210123120038432468.png

In E-Channelizer, i have noticed a strange reference for all the channel as you can see on the image.

I don't know what to do now.

I see your problem.  you created it yourself.

I repeat the instructions:

and run the script.

./m3u2bouquet.sh /tmp/name_of_your_m3u_file Provider TID ServiceType

Replace the parameters with your values:

"Provider: Provider Name, to identfy the entries in the bouquet and channels file"
"TID: Up to 4 digit hexadecimal number, to disguish the services from different providers"
"Servicetype: 1, 4097, 5001 or 5002.  If omitted 4097 is used"

The provider name can be anything you want, but do provide something

TID: provide a number like 1 or AA, just to disguish these channels of this import to channels from a different provider.

Servicetype:  Use 4097

You used TID on the command line, and not a valid value.

Example:

./m3u2bouquet.sh /tmp/something.m3u SomeProvider AA 4097

TID is not a valid hexadigital number.

AA is an hexdecimal number.

Hexdecimal number are composed of the decimal values 1 - 9 and the alfanumeric values 1 - F

Valid hexadecimal values:

1

A

A1

1A

AF

FFFF

etc.

m3u2bouquet.sh file.m3u OP2 4097

Should work.  However now the TID value (or transponder value) will be 4097 which is a valid 4 digit hexadecimal value.

And since you have omitted the Servicetype, this will be automatically 4097.

Better would be:

m3u2bouquet.sh file.m3u OP2 AA 4097

A bit of theory:

In order to assign EPG to each channel, each channel has to be assigned a service ref.

The service ref format is

4097:0:Type:SID:TID:NID:Namespace:0:0:0:

SID: Station identifier

TID: Transponder identiefier

NID: Network identifier

4097: indicating it is an IPTV stream (or stream)
Type: 1 for TV  and 2 for Radio
SID:  station identifier: a separate number for each station  (1 to .... a 1 to 4 digit hexadecimal number)
TID: 0 for NL and 1 for FR (each country can have its own sequence)
NID: 32 for BE, 31 for NL, 49 for Germany, 44 for UK etc.....  (international telephone country code)
namespace: 0 for the moment

Al the above are hexadecimal values.

Since the script can be used for more than 1 m3u file, a value for TID has to be given, in order to disguish the several m3u files.  And to avoid that EPG ends up with the wrong channel.

One other thing first:

You can rerun the script with the same values.  The script will then automatically delete the previous bouqets and EPG links, and create new ones.

This is handy if the provider publishes a new m3u file.

What sources to import:

Start out with selecting under General the Misc and News file.

Further go to the countries of your interest, and select the basic file.

If you are interested in sports and Movies select also the sport and movies file.

In EPGimport, select also to delete all EPG prior to an import.

Now examine the bouquets and see where you have missing EPG.  For that country you may want to import the Misc file as well.

And so on.

If there are still channels missing, you have to find in the bouquetfile the exact service ref for that channel.  With that service ref you go to the custom.channels.xml file (/etc/epgimport) and find this service ref.

Look at the EPGref on that line, and see if you can find it in one of the rytec files.

Or simply ask me.
