It is certeinly possible to change the grab site.

But I do not like to grab everything from one site.  But channels which benefit from such a change I definitely can change.

Can you propose which channels will benefit the most?

And do not say all, pls. 

 

But at the moment, programme-tv.net has some problems.

I will investigate programme-tv.com

You do these modifications only if you want and if it's easy to migrate.

Did you ever install this plugin: enigma2-plugin-extensions-tmbd  ?
 

opkg update
opkg install enigma2-plugin-extensions-tmbd

Once installed when you are in the EPG press twice the EPG button you will have a new entry:  TMBD details for event

It will retrieve the information form tmdb and display them, you will also see the cover art for the movie.

 

Or while watching TV press the blue button and you will have Display details for the current event

 

You can also configure this plugin to have the details in french    (set define search language and description to fr)

 

This is really a "must have" plugin and it is part of my basic installation of OpenPLi.

This is what I used when I need more details on a movie or TV movie, it is quite complete even some shows are know by it.

 

If you have movies added into you favorites you can also use it on them. Press menu choose TMBD details and it will search for it and display the informations.

The problem is that we can be tempted to include more details in the EPG but then people with low memory boxes will no longer be able to enjoy EPG since it is fully loaded into memory. The epg.dat is just a cache created at standby and reloaded a boot so it is not used for day to day EPG information display. So the information displayed in the EPG is always a compromise between the available memory and the quantity of data we would like to see for each events.

@pr2, I'm ok with you. We have to be careful to stay available for stb with low memory. For tmdb, I don't know why I can't select french language, only de or en.

I'm on OATV 6.4, tmdb plugin v6.4+git2737+cb9971c-r1, certainly another version of the one on openpli so no option to select other languages. I will try the OpenPli version.

Encoding errors on arte.fr, not for every programs, but special characters are sometimes not correctly encoded.

That is a codepage error.  But it is also present on the webpage:  https://www.programm...a-planete-.html

The only action I can take is use another webpage.

But other channels taken from the same webpage could have the same problem.

Those problems are a kind of nightmare sometimes on the same channel, for a given TV show we have this problem and for the next one the same day we have no problem.

Seems that some webmaster doesn't always apply the same "encoding" for the data they display online.

If all the EPG is wrong for the given channel that it is worth to inform Willy but if it is only one TV show and the others are not affected then it is probably wrong on the source too.
