All segfaults.

Without more information nothing more can be said.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

LOL again. CrashLOG contains only the moment of the state after the system falls. We need to see DebugLOG files. Turn on the DEBUG function in the OpenPLI MENU, and then restart the box. When causing an error, there will be much more information in the DebugLOG file - for example, suspicious or incorrect behavior of other processes that may be related to the problem. There is an Enigma activity before the fall of the system.

I'm sorry, since I do not know the OpenPLi image well, so I do not know if the option for DebugLOG is in the MENU. There are several ways to turn on debugging Enigma. Here's how to activate debug-mode via Telnet (Putty, for example):

There is not, you have to use the wiki example.

With segfaults, you won't get every far though, so don't hold your breath...

And what about this way of debugging Enigma2 ?

init 4 && sleep 10 && enigma2 > /tmp/e2debug.log 2>&1

init 4 && sleep 10 && ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=4 enigma2 2>&1 | tee /tmp/e2debug.log

in debug mode, and with the ability to see the output as well. And I don't think the sleep is needed, I never use it.

That is true, the sleep command is there for the prevent before potental crash only. :) Of course, through && the next init 3 command is executed only if the output code of init 4 is not error.

Hi,

From experience I would advice to put a sleep especially on slowest boxes.  Performing a direct init 4 && init 3 will fails if the box has not properly finished its stop.

Think that when the box stop some files are saved (configuration) and epg.dat file, if you restart it too fast those files are reloaded.

On faster boxes that we have now it is probably not a problem not to wait between the init 4 and init 3.
