Hi,

Perhaps try to fix the refresh rate to 50 Hz.
Other parameters are same as mine.

Which cable provider are you using?
And can you mention a channel name where you have this black border problem?

swiss provider and srf1 hd has black borders

Hi,

After deeper investigation with Blunt here is where we are:

- it is not linked with overscan wizard

- Some 16:9 images are interpreted by its TV as 4:3 images so they are displayed with black borders.

- The grab from OpenWebif gives a proper aspect ration image.

- The playback of a recording he mades with VLC on its PC of a channel with this problem is also fine in its aspect ratio.

So either Vu+ Duo2 driver sent a wrong information to the HDMI port about the source signal aspect ration or the Samsung TV wrongly detect the source.

But since fit to screen which normally display the image like it is received by the HDMI entry of the TV display the black border, I think that it is the new VU+ Driver that did something wrong.

I have asked Blunt to post a link with a .ts recording so its ts file can be test on another STB and TV.

Hi,

Here is a sample file recorded by Blunt on a channel where he has the problem.

https://mega.nz/#!DJ...bXBkGi1v8647TXM

What I can see when playing it back with VLC in Media Info is:

Resolution           :   1920x1090

Display resolution:  1920x1080

Is it normal?
