Hallo,

I do have the same receiver with the same problem,

lsusb shows this device

Bus 004 Device 004: ID 174c:55aa

It is an ASMedia Chip (ASM1153E) which does the usb/sata communication. I tried a 3,5/2,5 inch dock with the same chipset which is also not working. An ASM1053 does have the same problems.

dmesg is just shows a new device and not more

I tried an external USB to Sata Cable (with hat the logic in the plug -- this worked:

it is a usb id 1f75:0621 which is a Innotec IS621 Chipset

Unfortunately not. And I did not need any extra package in 6.1 to get the hd working. I managed to get a USB/eSATA case with a SataLink SPIF225A-HF021 next week. Let's see.

After you have plugged in your USB device, issue the commands

dmesg
cat /var/log/messages

and post the last 20 lines or so of each, so we can see what is or isn't detected. Without this, we're guessing...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
