It can work using "auto" but it's not the best solution. But as long as nobody cares to submit a patch to DVB4Linux, it's second best.

It may be the best solution as all current demodulators do ALWAYS do auto-fec no matter what value is selected. Only some real old demods (~ 10 years are unable to auto-fec on DVB-S2).
And nobody ever cared about FEC for DVB-C or DVB-T(2) as the demods always did auto-fec there.

For end-users, probably, but not from maintainers point of view.

Actually the FEC for DVB-T (and C where it is rarely used) is not a real mandatory value to enter to see what is transmitted...... The only added value is to see it as info how the provider configured their network,.. That was why I even doubted that is should be a requirement...

Regarding dvb-t2 did you check for FEC 6/7 and 8/9 also? As we have them in some places ...


I think patch handles them, if not see what it was done on patch for the other values.
