DVB-s2x is more about symbolrare, modulatiion type, fec ‘rate’ And fec ‘system’, bandpass filters which is not directly related to the picture quality in bitrate

Well, I have found how a channel bitrate is improved and will become more efficient. The new DVB-S2X will be useful to make an efficient use of the whole bandwidth of a satelite.

spanish wiki seems to have wider information (you can translate)

greetings,

DVB-S2x will improve bandwidth mostly only marginally. The main way to go is to switch to HEVC and/or use better encoders.

This is strange, I found it with blind scan on Eutelsat 16E, really awkward, just test card

EPQ H265 (service name)

HEVC but not UHD, 1920x1080

12693H

2222 Symbolrate

QPSK

Bitrate V: about 1000 kbits/s  A: 130 kbits/s
