For some reason you have the procps package installed, which replaces busybox top. Try this version of the script which uses ps instead of top, and figures out if it's the full ps or the busybox ps.

Thank you so much, you are great.

Script working.

Yes, it's a big job (to do it properly).

In the meantime you can use the attached hotkey script. Works for 5001 and 5002 services.

Instructions:

  • Put script in /usr/script (create directory if not exists).
  • Make script executable: chmod +x /usr/script/gst_ext_record.hidden.sh
  • Attach script to hotkey (preferably not REC, I used RED).
  • Press selected hotkey to toggle recording (if recording is running, it will stop, if not running, it will start, but only on 5001/5002 services).

Limitations:

  • Only one active recording at a time.
  • No on-screen record indicator (red dot).
  • The selected service must support two simultaneous connections from the same client.
  • Services with very long URLs (several hundred characters) are not supported.

Thanks scriptmelvin!
This script works great with 5002. When recording, can you provide the program name and program information?
It would then be like the normal recordings.

Well, not really. There's no record indicator in the infobar.

Does the infobar show the program name? If yes, then maybe.

There usually is no program information for IP streams. If you get that through some other means (like EPGImport plugin) it would involve creating meta files, not a trivial task...

Hello,

I have a Vu+ Solo2 running OpenPli6.2, Oscam . No issue with recording satellite channels. Recording IPTV channels is weird : recording start, a few minutes later image freezes. Recording duration is not consistent.

Any idea ???

Tnx

Hello

It works if you launch the direct pause at the beginning of the program.

At the end of the program, you can save the entirety of the direct pause.

The downside is that you have to be in front of your program to launch the direct pause.

If it works this way, it's not a problem of simultaneous streams.

Moreover, even when putting the Vu+ on standby, the recording still freezes after a few seconds as well.
