Dear All,

I want to devolop a plugin  on  openpli image with phyton.

 

I am giving you information what i want.

The Pluging will be about language education.

 

When i wathing a satellite channel  with foreign  subtitle and foreign sound ,  The subtitles flows below the screen normaly.

 

And Viever knows some sentence in the subtitle on below of screen  and  other  some words unknown for the wiever.

 

for example :

 

'Sentence1 '   ( Viever knows the sentence)

'Sentence2 '   ( Viever knows the sentence)

'Unknown Sentence 1'   ( Viever does not knows the sentence)    // He want to learn what mean of sentence/ word.

 

 

'Sentence n '   ( Viever knows the sentence)

..

 

'Unknown Sentence 2'   ( Viever does not knows the sentence)    // He want to learn what mean of sentence/ Word.

 

when The plugin i want  active  and the press the a key on remote controler  the unknown sentences will be record on a text file on the box.  

( what sentence Show below the screen at press key)

 

Sumarize;

 

The output text file includes  unknown sentences.  ( it will be on usb or other location)

 

 

Next time The  Viever can be see unknown sentenses list.

 

Is  The plugin posible?

 

How can I  get active subtitle value when flowing the subtitle.

 

Please guide me.

Hi,

 

I think, but this need confirmation, that your idea won't be easy because DVB subtitles are sent has graphic and not text:

About your idea my advice is to record all the subtitles because it is always better to have the full context of a string to be able to properly translate it.  If you only save the unknown strings later on it will be even harder to understand it without the full context.
