Hi there.

I made this account just to talk to you about this problem.

I'm trying to flash my Formuler F1. Currently I'm using OpenPLi 4 which I was able to flash about a year ago.
Meantime I flashed the bootloader to V43.

Now I'm trying to flash to OpenPLi 6 but I can't.
I tried 2 different USB sticks. They worked previously in my system and in my friends system so they are fine.

Formatting used: Fat32.

I put the image in the root of the usbs, as formuler1.

I tried different images..no luck.

I tried different usb ports, no luck.

I tried to put the system in standby, with usb in, no luck.

I tried to restart with usb in, no luck.

When the formuler starts, all I see is bootloader, says its version v43. then it says booting.

It simply doesnt see the image .

Maybe the issue is this bootloader v43?

Thanks

I didn't even know there was a newer bootloader for the F1?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

And why would you need that, what does it fix or improve?

edit: I can't find an official one, and websites only list "Version Nb. of Bootloader visible on VFD." as the improvement. Not really a reason to flash a new bootloader.

Use plain FAT and use a small USB stick, that mostly works. And on formuler, don't forget to push the button on the side.

Any other USB devices connected? If so, disconnect them, the bootloader has a very short timeout (to not delay normal boots too much), it doesn't have time to detect multiple devices...

Nope. No other devices connected. It's really weird.
Has someone tried it with that newer bootloader?

No, never needed a new bootloader (and reading this, I'm not going to flash it either ;)).

Try yet more different USB sticks. Sometimes only the sixth or so will work.

Or perhaps that the flash procedure is different with the bootloader you installed (need now to press a button to start the flash?)

That's already the case with the "old" boot loader.

I tried again and nothing.
Its really weird because I'm using the same USB i flashed my bootloader with. That time it worked no problem but now it doesnt.
Is there any guide how to flash new openpli from within the system ...like with the use of some plugin ?
thanks

Have you tried the fullbackup plugin? You can flash with that too.

Sent from my Moto G (5S) using Forum Fiend v1.3.3.

I wrote there now.
I tried many different ways.
Put the usb in, restart/deepstandby/complete shutdown from the wall.
When I run it on either using the button on the side or by remote control it goes from F1 {v43} to booting.

Previously I could see that it found the image and now it doesnt do anything ...it goes straight to booting.

I even tried to rename noforce to force and no success

V43 has disabled USB by any chance? Does attached USB HDD/Stick work after completed boot? In other words: can you use USB devices once the F1 has booted?
Met één been in het graf..... Helaas
