I have recently moved to a 'newer' image on my very old DM800.

When I download the VLC plugin, the options menu no longer gives a password option for the web interface of the server.

Given that all newer VLC server versions don't allow the web interface to be started without a password, I don't see how it's possible to configure the plugin to actually work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

What is "a newer image"? And what exactly do you mean with "VLC plugin"? On the box?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I installed the last available openPLi for the DM800HD: http://downloads.ope...00-20140510.zip

The VLC Plugin is installed on the box via the remote. However, I believe this is the exact one:

Hi,

the server source code of the player is basically around 10 years old. I do not think that someone will add a password option to it. Easy way would be to use an old server version.

ciao

@kingkevbo

What do you want to play via vlc ? List of video links or m3u files ? I may be able to make vlcplayer work because I have KodiLite which has a vlc play option.
