Hello guys,

I have old Vu+ Duo which I wanted to set for my parents with IPTV channels only, (no satellite dish)  and I wanted to set EPGimport (the same IPTV settings which works ok on my Vu+ Duo2 and everything works fine) but here on this box it just won't import it (0 Events)

I have latest Open PLI image OpenPLi 6.2-release (2018-09-04-release-6.2)

Here is log:

[EPGImport] ### thread is ready ### Events: 0
[EPGImport] nextImport, source= Srbija/Hrvatska/Crna Gora - Sport/Film (xz)
[EPGImport] Downloading: http://www.vuplus-co..._SportMovies.xz to local path: /tmp/epgimport.xz
[EPGImport] download failed: checkValidServer reject the server
[EPGImport] Attempting alternative URL
[EPGImport] Downloading: http://rytecepg.epgs..._SportMovies.xz to local path: /tmp/epgimport.xz
[EPGImport] afterDownload /tmp/epgimport.xz
[EPGImport] unlink /tmp/epgimport.xz
[EPGImport] afterChannelDownload None
[EPGImport] Using twisted thread
[XMLTVConverter] Enumerating event information
Unknown channel:  fightchannelworld.svn
Unknown channel:  sporttv1.svn
Unknown channel:  arenasport5.hr
Unknown channel:  arenasport6.hr
[EPGImport] ### thread is ready ### Events: 0
[EPGImport] imported 0 events
[EPGImport] Save last import date and count event
[EPGImport] Run check deep standby after import
[EPGImport] #### Finished ####
sourcesDone():  False None

What I am doing wrong ?

Thanks in advance

First of all update EPGimport.

There has been a very important update for this plug-in in the last month.

This could alone solve your problem.

Also, It looks like the plugin tried to download the channels file from the vuplus website which is a bit of a problem at moment.  (no channels file is downloaded, and so nothing is imported.

This can be solved by adding:

209.236.115.84  www.vuplus-community.net

to the /etc/hosts file

restart you receiver after adding this.

Willy

PS:  the vuplus site has DNS problem.  This addition overrides any DNS look-up

It is brand new install, i install it today from plugin download area inside the box

(Does it matter if I don’t have tuber setup, it is on disable, but channels are all in settings as I said?)

I,ll try to add that url in hosts file as you said

Could it be that system time from transponder is an issue. I've installed plugin "systemtime" but looks like the box is still writing files as 30/10/1970. Could that be an issue or something else?

No tuner.  So you are using an IPTV list. (sorry, did not notice it in the TC)

Several things can go wrong here.

In the bouquets file all the channels have the same service ref.  (big problem)

You do not have a lamedb on you receiver, and you try to reuse the service refs of the satellite channels. (install a satellite channellist on your receiver, to fix this - you can delete all the bouquets)

The channels in your bouquets have custom service refs, which do not corresponds with the service refs in the rytec.channels.xml file (build your own custom.channels.xml file in /etc/epgimport)

And indeed the system time needs to be set correctly.  If you use systemtime, have you configured it to actually set the system time?  Because on installation the plug-in is not configured.

I am just guessing here.  But since we do not provide support for IPTV channels, you are on your own for solving this.

lamedb is copied from other receiver vu+duo2 where I have all tuners.

I manually mapped iptv channels from scanned channels with E-channelizer.

Please read this:

https://forums.openp...es-explanation/

All is explained, create your own service reference and then create your own: custom.channels.xml

Good luck!
