Hello.

I used my vu+ box to watch streams of several security cams.

I added the rtsp streams of the cams to the channels list.

On older version openpli 4.x everything was fine.

Now on 6.x first when watching the streams, controll of the box

with the remote (browsing through the channel list) was lagging pretty much.

Now on newer version i got another problem, that stream often is not show with the

following error message: "No data received yet"

Anyone can help me?

I really love openpli and like to stay on it,

i also test it on actual vti and openatv image, there everything works fine.

But these images are no alternative for me.

Sounds like you're adding streams with a "1:0:1..." service reference, which is not going to work unless your camera's provide MPEG-TS streams (which is unlikely).

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I did a quick search through the source, but "no ecm pids available" is not an Enigma error message. Do you use an external player by any chance?

does it matter, that i got the error message in german and that i translated into english?

Original message was " kein ecm pid verfügbar (FTA"

or similar...

The only place I find that is in the Service info - ECM info page (menu - information - service - green button), which is logical, there is no ECM info in a stream.

I see 2 translations. Maybe second is wrong but nethertheless it's there:

msgid "No ECMPids available (FTA Service)"
msgstr "Keine ECMPids verfügbar (FTA Service)"

msgid "No data received yet"
msgstr "Keine ECMPids verfügbar (FTA Service)"

It's the buffer indicator (InfoBarGenerics line 343) which writes the text "No data received yet" (or in German "Keine ECMPids verfügbar (FTA Service)" which is really the wrong translation).

It only means that the stream has send no data yet. Either stream is not available or not playable by E2.

You need to look in the E2 debug output to see more details why it's not working.

@WanWizard: Can you please change the line in de.po in rc branch to this?

msgid "No data received yet"
msgstr "Keine Daten bisher empfangen"

Hello,

I get the same issue. VLC can render the stream with no issue. I've also confirmed that the data stream is sent to the STB. It seems the problem is more related to the rendering of the steam (rtsp://webcamip:554/mpeg4) but I don't know how to troubleshoot this.

Regards,

François

If you can open it in VLC, what mediainfo does VLC display?

Media info from VLC :

Stream 0

Codec: MPEG-4 Video (mp4v)

Type: Video

Video resolution: 1280x720

Buffer dimensions: 1280x736

Frame rate: 30

Decoded format: Planar 4:2:0 YUV

Orientation: Top left

Chroma location: Left

The above comes from VLC on my PC (not from the STB)

The only thing that might be relevant in this info may be the 30fps...

Actually, the fallback to TCP is occuring but the STB fails to read it. The webcam I'm using is quite old (~7 years).
I've ordered a new webcam (4k...etc) supporting H264/H265 hoping OpenPli will be able to read the RTSP stream.
