Hi,

I have a strange issue with HDMI-CEC after upgrading to 6.2:

When I switch to different source in the TV and want to switch back to enigma2 HDMI-CEC source the TV can't connect back and HDMI-CEC stops working until I suspend and switch back the STB, here is the debug log:

I can confirm thuis issue with the Samsung k-series also.
I’ve alterd the HDMI-CEC stream request from source, but didn’t got any improvement yet.
Issue is also on develop-image.

I thought iT was related with a firmware update from the tv or the experiment receiver from the cable tv provider... but i think with your same problems that iT might not the problem.

Which receiver?

HDMI-CEC is built on hardware and driver functionality. There is very little "OpenPLi" about it.

As a workaround for really bad HDMI CEC problems (when CEC should be disabled completely, but disabling it in OpenPLi doesn't help) are adapters that have no connection on Pin 13 can be used. E.g.:
https://www.lindy-in...-Type-A-M-F.htm

Such adapter can also be home-made by disconnecting Pin 13 in an adjustable angle adapter.

Such adapter would, of course, disable CEC completely for the device connected via adapter, but as HDMI CEC line is connected together from all HDMI inputs of a TV set (or other HDMI device) then using such adapter for problematic device can fix HDMI CEC issues for other devices (also things line HDMI Audio Return Channel relies on CEC).

P.S. Correct link to the adapter: https://www.lindy-in...020102&pi=41232
It can be bought on Amazon and in some local internet-shops (at least in Europe).

HDMI-CEC is built on hardware and driver functionality. There is very little "OpenPLi" about it.

I have Xtrend et8000 receiver. The issue may related to xtrend drivers, because they have changed a lot since the version used with OpenPli 6.1 (play, pause, fwd buttons are usable with the new driver, because they changed the device type from tuner to playback device).

Any channel to Xtrend for bug report (previously I tried to open tickets in their github, but no answer seen)

Thanks,

I doubt anything will happen, the original Xtrend doesn't exist anymore, and it looks like the new owner was only interested in the brand name...

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
