Yes, I know that I can download and examine it but for now I am just a little curious and would appreciate a brief summary.

Do not add spaces to it. There's a space after the first s and another after the first a.

(Unlike this forum which converts spaces into ampersand-entities...)

We now can reproduce the problem. Not all boxes are affected. We analyze the problem and try to find a solution.

Solution found and implemented. A new build run will start soon.

 

Workaround: edit /etc/pam.d/common-password. The last two lines should read:

# and here are more per-package modules (the "Additional" block)
password	optional			pam_smbpass.so nullok use_authtok use_first_pass

if you correct this, "passwd" will start working again.

I was so happy when I saw openpli 7.0 ... but after I installed it ,, I can not find HDMI - CEC ,, I need it because it turns off my TV when I turn off my box. As I said, I can not find it in setup, maybe it's only me who can not find it ,,, can anyone help me with it or is it not inserted into 7.0 ... into my Samsung TV, hdmi - cec enabled..

HDMI-CEC is an expert setting, so make sure your usermode is set to that. Same is true in OpenPLi 6.x.

thanks for the help,, i make that change from normal to expert setting and hdmi - cec is now working
