No.

It means that with some hacks it starts. It is not stable, it crashes, it doesn't work together with other processes that access the framebuffer, so it is not fit for production.

And given the fact we're already at the  stage of a pre-release (a release candidate), it VU+ can get it stable, it will not be for OpenPLi 7.0.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

But we need a solution for the framebuffer crash?

Yes. I don't want to release an image that we know can crash. OpenPLi makes stable images, and if that means they aren't bleeding edge, so be it.

Also, there isn't a good solution for the missing libssl/libcrypto yet, that is being worked on, and therefore not ready for the release.

Is it a shame to think that it will repair over time?

We have now 7.0->rc,,, this means we have to 'close the doors' for new big thinks as this 'locks' the rc to being released and actually it blocks more features being come out earlier... as soon 7.0 is released it can be in 7.1-rc (when we indeed go for it) or 8.0 (sumo)...

To add Chromium is a relative big change...

OpenATV6.3 is still beta https://www.opena.tv...527/index3.html

OpenPLi7.0 is a Release Candidate... So this should be already very stable as we internally tested it so we only should allow real bug fixes here and not add new features.,

Hello, After yesterday's update, VU + Solo2 does not send an EPG stream over the network to the E2Stream program. In the first version 7.0 of November 12, 2018 everything works fine.

Will it be possible to update from 6.2 to 7.0 or what is the best way for the update?

Hello all,

vu+ ultimo4k, OpenPLI 7, built-in WLAN does not work. I had to hook up the cable. Is it a driver problem or something else? Wirellesslan plugin installed. In the previous version it worked without any problems. Any ideas?

We are aware of that. The change by VU+ in the BSP that introduced the VU Duo 4K drivers broke it. VU+ needs to fix that, they use non-standard drivers that need special init scripts.
