No idea what you are talking about. Can you be more specific? What bugs, what problems?

I mean problems and bugs in a "general" way.

This current topic (password problems on some vu+)

and let's see last days' topics…

"VU+ Duo2 can only use 2 out of 4 tuners at once"

"Vu Ultimo 4k kein Signal beim Umschalten"

"Raar probleem VU+Duo"

"HDMI-IN op Vu+ 4K boxen activeren"

"VRT.nu op VU+ duo"

"Ultimo4K aansluit instellingen met 2 Dual DVB-S2 FBC"

"Vu+ solo 4K update"

….

…...

The password problems were not VU specific.

The password problem on 7.0-rc had absolutely nothing to do with a brand or a box. I was an error in a postinst script ("echo -e" not supported in every echo implementation) of the samba-common package.

The other topics are all questions, not problems. And in most cases problems between keyboard and chair. ;)

Your post and assumptiion leads to nothing other than a false interpretation of events, and before you know it it will start to lead a life of it's own. So please refain from unsubstantiated statements....

It isn't a unsubstantiated statement….  It is a several months or years observation.

(...and remember last week Huevos having difficulties to get 27.5 West on a new FBC VU tuner)

Just remember my first question: Is it a personal and subjective feeling, or Am I wrong thinking that……. ?

So, sure I'm wrong thinking about it, but that's my personal, subjective and maybe wrong feeling….

In the early days VU+ had drivers that weren't always very stable, but that has vastly improved over the years, and so has the response to reported issues. As for hardware, there are the famous power supply issues of the VU Duo (aka the red led) and to a lesser extend the Duo2, but a lot of other brands from the same time (like the Xtrends) have the same problem. VU+ is the only brand with any design consistency, you can pull a tuner out of a Duo2 and plug it into an Ultimo4K without any issue.

None if the topics you have highlighted are in any way or form related to either VU+ hardware or VU+ drivers but either to generic issues (the password issue in 7.0-rc, VRT.nu requires a login and a session token, so won't work on ANY box, etc) or user-related issues (incorrect configuration or connection, incorrect setup or use, expectations by users that can't be met).

So while I can't help you with your perception, I object to you posting your percention in such a way that it can easily lead to some sort of "truth".

And remember, nothing is this world is free from bugs, design flaws, manufacturing errors, etc.

There are some issues with one of the caching proxies, which seems to have some cache corruption every now and then. It is being looked at.

For the moment, try again later, to either let the cache expire or so you hit another download server.

@jpuigs,

The more STB are sold the more problem are reported on the forum, since VU+ is very popular you have more post opened with problems.

This doesn't means that this brand is worst than another one, some bugs are common to many brands/boxes but the 1st one to report it was a VU+ user so you think that there is more bugs report on VU+ which is, I think, not the case. I this particular case this was a generic bug affecting different brands.

Yes, exactly that. It probably has to do with the amount of receivers sold.

OpenPLi has been using HD skins for years, and the colours haven't really changed. And we're very happy with this, nothing broken, and therefore nothing to fix.

No clue what you had before, so I suggest you install that again if you are happier with that.
