I'm wondering if it's possible to select a package to only load the Irish Saorview channels? All my other channels comes with genre information but not these.

 

The channels are as follows:

 

• RTE One
• RTE2
• Virgin Media 1
• TG4
• Virgin Media 2
• Virgin Media 3
• RTE Junior
• RTE One + 1
• RTE News Now
• Tithe an Oireachtais
• Saorview Information (Information channels, no EPG)

Not immediately.  But not all is lost.

 

1. Download the attached custom.channels.xml file and copy it to /etc/epgimport on your receiver

 

2. Open the file /etc/epgimport/rytec.sources.xml

Make a backup copy of it, somewhere else.

 

Delete the section between <mappings> </mappings> tags.

 

Perform an import.  Now only the channels are imported defined in the custom.channels.xml

You need to import the Freesat and the Sky1 files

 

You will notice that the Virgin Media channels are not included. Nobody ever asked me to include them.

If you want hem included, you can request them when you provide a service ref.

PS: The above only works if you updated your receiver in the last month.  The import plug-in can only do this with the latest update.

Thanks! the Virgin Media channels are just the renamed channels TV3, 3e and be3

 

Virgin Media One = TV3

Virgin Media Two = 3e

Virgin Media Three = be3

 

The service refs have not been changed.
