If you flash from the menu, you can choose to make a backup before you flash. After the flash, the box restarts, and prompts you to restore that backup.
You need either a harddisk or a USB stick for that to work.

Did you go into Menu - Plugin - OpenWebif to activate the required options?
Have you forwarded the port 443 (or any other port that you select in the previous screen) towards your STB on your Internet router?
Have you checked that this port forwarding is working?

Check the content of the .m3u and you will find the problem, the .m3u probably include the internal IP address of your STB and from the outside this address if of course not routed and the streaming port is different and needs to be opened on the router.
So you better have to create a VPN between your client and your network/STB than forwarding the port on your router.

Here is the content of the M3U:
#EXTM3U
#EXTVLCOPT--http-reconnect=true
#EXTINF:-1,TF1
#EXTVLCOPT:program=9312
http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8...1:C00000:0:0:0:
xx=public IP of my network.
Thers is not the internal address of my STB, and my router forwards ports 80, 8081 and 8001 to the internal IP of my STB, on the port i configured on webif menu...

Unless you have a box that can transcode, forget streaming over the internet. Transport streams are realtime streams, and can not handle any latency and jitter in the network connection.

Thanks for reply but this answer is difficult for me, i mean this functionnality is supposed to work fine and there are many tutorials on the web which explain how to do it.
I can not figure out why in my case this is not working, i thought pau extansion was the solution but it is not and finally i have to deal with the fact that this plugin is just not working...
