Groetjes Ad

Welke Vu praten wij over?

I assume this topic must be about the Ultimo 4K as the only update concerning wifi was issued for this box a week ago. Sorry to interrupt this thread in English btw, but as usual the most interesting threads are in the Dutch section and I know too little of it.

Equally important as the box is the router as I experience the same problems but only with certain routers (dual-band-Fritzboxes like the 7390 or the 7590). Other routers that only support the 2,4 GHz band work like a charm. I can confirm that there is no issue with the same box and router under VTi. I tried to get some information on their board what has been changed in that image to get wifi working with all routers but nobody knew the answer or would give it to me. Actually the VU+ original image doesn't provide a working wifi solution with those routers either.

What was this wifi fix for the Ultimo 4K about anyway? I couldn't find any info on this topic.

My english is not so good specially when its about "jargon" So id did not specific find an update on  the Ultimo4K. It was om  wifi in general. ( resp I understood it was on Wifi in general)

Vti is closed source so they can steal from us, but we cannot learn from them.... and in between they are violating all gpl licenses...:(

When you have rc-7 on the box we recommend to (online) flash instead of update as with an update we cannot guarantee all required packages are updated.

What was this wifi fix for the Ultimo 4K about anyway? I couldn't find any info on this topic.

VU+ had broken the wifi driver in the BSP when they introduced the Duo 4K (which uses the same driver but in a different way). VU+ fixed that.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
