That was re. amplification... Plus this, up to 4 dishes...

Sorry, I meant that I remembered from reading various docs/pages that there is amplification of the signal straight away, built-in (obviously, I guess, if one wants to serve so many tuners) - but then they create a problem at the other end, at the entry point (and I presume one or two [or a few?] more points down the line)?

And again, later on they mention that the signal would eventually dissipate and they don't say roughly how many tuners down the line one doesn't get a clear picture - as in not even a hint, with some provisos (I know there are many parameters/variables but still)...

In effect, it looks to me like promising new technology which will nevertheless need quite a few tweaks to be working well enough and which one could easily set up, not limited to only a few sat positions, plus not badly out of pocket for more...

Perhaps it is OK for small number of dishes/sat positions and not too many users down the line (except for the too strong a signal at the entry point?) but for more...??

Dunno, perhaps fibre optics might be worth waiting for...??? Maybe E2 will be ready for such complex novelties by then, too?
