Hi,

You understand it wrong, when you set a service to 4097 it is the default build in player in OpenPLi that is used.

If you specify 5001 or 5002 you tell to the system which player he needs to use.

5001 will ALWAYS use GstPlayer

5002 will ALWAYW user ExtEplayer3

The goal of ServiceApp is to select which player is used for the 4097 service type instead of the default one.

And ServiceApp also let you fine tune some options for service 5001 and 5002.

So if you want to be able to change the player used thanks to ServiceApp define all your entries as 4097 in your userbouquet files and then you will be able to switch between both.

@Pr2 thnk you for your reply,
I can tell you that i have not understood (completly) your answer, here an example fir iptv channel line:

#SERVICE 4097:0:1:0:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%#######:RTSI 2
#DESCRIPTION RTSI 2

In serviceapp defzult player is Extplayer, so is this channel played with extplayer (using iptvplayer configuration, buffering etc..) ???
Thnk you again

Hi,

Since your service is defined with 4097: then when you go into ServiceApp menu you choose either:

- to play it with the standard OpenPLi player (when ServiceApp is not activated)

- to play it with GstPlayer

- to play it with ExtEplayer3

I would recommend you to enable ServiceApp and select ExtEplayer3 has player then you can configure a few options.

You OpenPLi will restart to enable the ExtEplayer3 then when you will watch your IPTV it will use it has player.
