Please, not all in one screen, think of the skinners, not everybody should be obliged to put so much information in one screen, and not everybody is forced to use specific skins for what it's worth. TP info in blue button is more than fine and the only option to toggle between live tuner values, and settings values.

suggestion, for streams (IPTV services)  to get ServiceInfo over ChannelContextMenu rather then go to mainmenu/information/service, now only possible for non streams (show transponder info), would be better for all (show service info)

OpenPli 7 press twice OK button (second infobar) and you will get the full stream URL displayed and the serviceID is also displayed there.

And on the ServiceInfo screen you will also see the full service reference.

I noticed that on streams (f.i.4097 ref. services) audio codec and language are not shown.

I've added them.

I thought that 4097 streams didn't have  a defined  language, and most of them really don't.

But I've found one services which has it enabled.

BTW, What are 257, 4098 and 4114 type services ???

Not sure, but 257 is for scrambled TS stream, and 4098 and 4114 for some webstreams (?)

Indeed, we already agreed on that. We don't want to have to keep pushing buttons to get all the info, it's very annoying.

The skinners don't have to do anything, the output will become a normal scrolled list widget afaik, so skinners should treat it like any other of such.

Thanks,

More changes, I haven't still sent a merge req. because I prefer to do it when finished all I have in mind  B) .

If ypu look at the screenshot on my previous post (2 above this one), if the URL is long, you can't see the end.

I think we could change format, instead of having 2 columns …. URL: (a lot of empty space) and http...… I'd write everything in one, so we get that result:

(I haven't deleted the old one to see changes)

streaming IPTV service:    Attached File  11-url.jpg   126.69KB   2 downloads

Local file :  Attached File  12-file.jpg   164.9KB   2 downloads

streaming from remote box :   Attached File  13-remote.jpg   171.95KB   2 downloads

@littlesat & co. , What do you think about it ?

You are trying to solve the problem of missing "scroll label?" (or scroll text?)

If something doesn't fit it should scroll (automatically).

Else it should break to fit.

I agree with Athoik the better solution is, I think that the too long text is wrapped on multiple lines.

Your solution breaks the alignment of the information and so make the screen less nice looking and it is just a "work around" since you will always find URLs that are too long to be displayed on just one line.

For the full URL you have it now on the second info screen, but I agree that it would be nice to have the full URL available in this screen too.

Agree, wrap text if it doesn't fit. I don't like the idea of having a horizontal scrollbar.

Now that is mentioned, I don't ever recall a conversation for a dynamic scrolling text by default on OpenPLI as part of the Enigma2 system. Everyone has to rely on external converters/renderers to make text scroll.

What does the ScrollLabel renderer do anyway?
