I wish you the best openpli team and all members!!

I have a question

I have an edision os mio4k and there are 2 big images for now ,, one is OpenPli and the other is OpenAtv

In OpenAtv i can install all available 32bit cam-emus etc.. because it is multi-lib 32/64bit

In OpenPli i cant do that because ii isnt multi-lib.Its only 64bit.

So,

Is Openpli in the future going to give us multi-lib version for our edision os mio4k?

Thank you Great OpenPli team!

Does this means that also some / all plugins are not working (well)?

Only closed source plugins/ binaries are maybe affected. As long as sources are available we can build a 64Bit binary.

I guess people/person that made available cccam for arm architecture are/is smart enough to provide an aarch64 cccam binary as well.

What other closed plugins exist for arm only architecture? BTW, it was common to have closed mips plugins, now it's already common to have arm ones?

Hello All

I purchased this receiver and it came with the OpenATV image, I try to use the OpenMultiboot and it does not work, I would like to know if the Open PLI image comes with options to set up multiboot, also I would like to know if there is instructions on how to activate Multiboot and how to change the receiver image.

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

Did you already tried to perform an online flash? I guess not.
I tried this some days ago.
1. Put an USB stick in the box and format this when this is asked. Haven’t tried it without the stick.
2. Menu - setup - flash image and choose the image you’d like to test. You might install several.
3. After having flashed one or more images you might choose ok or exit. Leave menu with exit.
4. Via menu - standby / restart you can choose the image you want to test.

It might be possible that I made a type or another minor error but I guess this will help you on the right path. ;)

In case something goes wrong and a multiboot image is broken or non bootable you can choose the slot manually as well when machine boots.

Press menu button on RC several times before the Edision splash appears.

Then the following will appear.

Hello Frenske and athoik

The the image that came with the receiver was the ATV image, I follow the instructions Flash online, I stored the the OpenPLI image under HHD> Images i execured the procedure and I tought and when I try to bootup under slot 2 there was no image and the receiver was stock on boot, so I manually  the OpenPLI image on the flash and so far so good,  athoik I am glad you provided this procedure just in case something goes wrong.

Now when I go to Menu - setup - flash image the only Image available is the OpenPli and no options to find the other images in HDD>IMAGES,

Thank you for your help.

Regards.

In OpenPLi we need to store multiboot images under downloaded_images folder on HDD/usb.

Then you will have images offered from PLi download center and those stored locally.

Is there a telnet command to erase one of the partitions and have it blank or empty?

Thanks.

Very quick is to fill just 1MB zeros on partition you like to clean.

Eg for Slot 4:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mmcblk1p9 bs=1M count=1

The telnet command erased slot 4. Excellent!
I do not understand how to put the erase command on usb stick yet. My first attempt at erasing slot 4 using usb failed.

Is there a way to load a multiboot image into a slot using only a usb stick, Or use usb stick and telnet command?

Thanks.

Shouldn't be too difficult to add to the flashimage menu.

The image the box was shipped with does not have a flashimage option. So another way was needed. I found that ofgwrite works for loading a multiboot image using telnet. (ofgwrite -k -r -m[1-4} /path/to/unzipped/folder)

Thanks.

Edision OS Mio 4K is provided with OpenATV image.  OpenATV doesn't have a flashimage option? I am really doubtful. Or you first need to perform an online update or install it from their feed.
