I have noticed that with OpenPli 6.2 with latest updates and OpenPli 7.0 streams occasionally glitch every 10 seconds. With OpenPli 4 on the same STB there are no glitches. Tested on Edision mini, Edision nino+, VU+ Uno 4K and Dreambox 800HDse (OpenPli 4). The same stream sources work OK on OpenPli 4, OpenPli 6.2 updated until may 2018, MAGs and VLC on PC. Is there a change in buffer size in the latest updates?

Which IPTV stream ???

opkg update && opkg upgrade

I guess all newest drivers are pulled from the respository

opkg list-installed | grep gstreamer gives me 0 results so I guess I don't have it installed at all

Video conf is untouched from the first OpenPli install, 1080p multi

Streams are pulled from different sources. Tvheadend, multicast so I don't know where to begin from

Playing streams (as in: IPtv) is not the primary intended use of a SetTopBox. We often see it doesn't get the same attention from the manufacturer as the primary intended use (watching and recording using DVB). Sad but true.

On all the STBs I've installed OpenPli IPTV works superbly. The glitches I'm experiencing recently are no so incapacitating that I have to switch to other boxes/images. The OpenPli's stability is brutal. There is no comparison with android boxes/ TV plugins or kodi or other stuff, OpenPli rules all the way.

I am Teddy A Civil Engineer / IT Engineer Nokia developer. I have noticed the same as you here point out. But I changed and updated the iptv Player

and that resulted in the glitches disappeared due to the driver was also changed. But another problem is where the server is located and your internet speed

if you have direct Ethernet connection or WIFI ! (I do not use WIFI for IPTV) I will not recommend it either. All that has to do with RADIO SIGNALS

are sensitive for interference.

Try to use old Xtrend drivers... which have other negative side effects.
Xtrend ET-9200, ET-8000, ET-10000, OpenPliPC on Ubuntu 12.04

I think you have no clue what it means to update a gstreamer version... Besides that, we don't do development versions.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

A friend of mine who still own an Xtrend ET-9000 revert back to the old driver. There are plenty of bugs in the latest one, there only advantages is to stop checking for the security board but for the rest they are not really fine.
