I‘ve tested today transcoding of some 4K channels with my uno4kse. It doesn’t work. I saw many overrun messages

Jan 17 21:58:57 Schlafzimmer user.warn streamproxy: Queue: !!! queue overrun: inptr was: 781396, inptr is 973720, outptr = 914432, rv is 192324
Jan 17 21:58:57 Schlafzimmer user.warn streamproxy: Queue: !!! queue overrun: inptr was: 886764, inptr is 1048576, outptr = 914432, rv is 161812
Jan 17 21:58:58 Schlafzimmer user.warn streamproxy: Queue: !!! queue overrun: inptr was: 802064, inptr is 994388, outptr = 914432, rv is 192324
Jan 17 21:58:58 Schlafzimmer user.warn streamproxy: LiveTranscodingBroadcom: client hung up

Is it a software problem or can“t the hardware do 4K transcoding?

Receiver:2 x Uno4k SE (PLI 7.3 rel), 1 x ET9200 (PLI 4.0), NAS: 2 x QNAP 410, TV: LG 65C8llla, LG 47LB570V, LG 42LM615S, Sound: Yamaha RX-v663, Teufel System 5 THX

AFAIK indeed Broadcom does not support transcoding 4k channels. And apparently that fact is not reported back to streamproxy so it starts feeding the encoder but the encoder never starts.

I ran in the same issue today, playing around with the VU+ player app on my phone. Is the problem that the channels are 4K or has it (maybe also) to do with the H.265 encoding? I am hoping to be able to transcode the NPO channels, which will broadcast in 1080P/H.265 in a couple months in my region via DVB-T2.

I'm using a VU+ Ultimo 4K

AFAIK it's no problem to transcode h265. I someone knows a service on 5W-0.8W-4.8E-9E-13E-19E-23E-28E that's FTA, h265 and HD I can test.

Even streaming is far from issue free, on the Duo 4K. Try

http://vuduo4k:8001/1:0:1F:1CE9:7F6:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

for example, it is one lenghtly artifact problem...

Transcoding however, using

http://vuduo4k:8002/1:0:1F:1CE9:7F6:2:11A0000:0:0:0:?bitrate=3000000&width=1280&height=720&aspectratio=2&interlaced=0

works relatively trouble free.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.
