No, that is not needed.

By default, both usbutils and eudev are not installed in the image.

The problem I think is that when you restore your backup after a flash, it re-installs usbutils (because you had it installed before?), that installs eudev, and that breaks it.

So, if you don't need usbutils, simply remove it:

opkg remove usbutils
opkg remove eudev

and that will in turn make sure it will be removed from the autoinstall file at your next backup.

If you do need usbutils, you can't remove eudev, but you can disable it:

rm /etc/rcS.d/S04udev

this makes sure udev doesn't start. Restart the box and everything should work again.

Problem with this is that after you flash the box again, you have to remember you need to remove this file again.

Ok, but for what do i need usbutils and if i Flash a newer Image and i use a newer Autobackup, is there always the usbutils? Should i remove it before i upgrade with Autobackup to be on a safe position?

If you don't know, you don't need it. :)

If you remove them, they will not be part of your next autobackup, and will not be installed again if you ever restore that backup.

This is not a 6.2-release issue, it is a 7.0-release issue.

And you should check for usbutils, not for eudev. usbutils provides a full version of the lsusb command, which is not needed in daily operation.

Again, if you don't know what it is or what it does, simply remove it:

opkg remove usbutils
opkg remove eudev

restart the box, problem solved.

Those are two different commands, not one. And I repeat, this is for 7.0-release only, which you wrote you had installed. Where does this 6.2 come from? 6.2 doesn't have a udev issue, so this is all not relevant.

* print_dependents_warning: enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-mountmanager

At least this explains why you have usbutils installed.

No, you don't. And I've checked, in 7.0-release it does not have a dependency to usbutils anymore, so you don't have to remove it.

Ok. Now ive upgraded again. Teletext is working, networkmount dont. I cannot conbect between the boxes. On my duo2 i create a nfs share on meria/hdd but i cannot open it on my zero and in the mount view there is a little red cross on the left hdd picture. Under the networkbrowser i cannot unfold the box to see zhe shares. The dhare of my nas works fine. Only the fonnection between the vu+ boxes fails.

Check if the nfsserver plugin is installed, without it, nfs won't work.

I'm currently testing an update to make sure eudev doesn't start if it is installed for some reason. That would fix future issues.
