I have an IPTV channel that is breaking/pixellating every few seconds on VU+zero4k. Same channel on DM8000 works fine and also with VLC on PC.

Recording from VLC and playback on VU+zero4k the recording plays perfectly.

Recording on VU+zero4k and playing back gives same problem. Reading recorded file and playing on VLC gives lost frames (picture stops where pixellating happens). Playing with Media Player gives same pixellating as on VU.

Tried another VU+zero4k and had the same problem. Tried BlackHole image and also has same problem.

Any idea what can be the problem? The channels is low quality 544x576 resolution and bit-rate is low too (average of 1.5Mbps). Other channels with much higher bit-rate works perfectly.

Install ServiceApp

Change the service reference from your IPTV channel to 4097: instead of 1:

Go into ServiceApp configuration and select extEplayer3

Reboot you box and test your channel.

Great it works thanks!

But I thought ServiceApp would change the channels reference automatically and not having to manually change them one by one.

Yes if you define it with 4095 but if you define it with 1 it is for DVB Stream and then not handled by ServiceApp.

Ok so to be clear -

service ref  = 1        --- Always plays through enigma irrespective of Service App setting.

service ref = 4097   --- If service app = Off             --- plays through enigma

if service app = Extplayer   --- plays through Extpalyer

if service app = Gstplayer   --- plays through Gstpalyer

service ref = 5001  --- always plays through Gstplayer irrespective of Service App setting.

service ref = 5002  --- always plays through Extplayer irrespective of Service App setting.

Is this correct?
