I drop 2019.02.12 OpenPLi tuner drivers for OpenVIX 5.2 and audio works fine.

I´m a little bit confuded. the openpli 7.0 here in the download area include drivers from dezember 2018. You said you droped the drivers from 2019-02-09 openpli and used it for openvix. Have you a development version of openpli on your system witht drivers from 2019 ?

Maybe that the new drivers works not with openpli 7.0 but with the develop branch and later openpli 7.1

I think that the tuner driver package is not wrong because the exchange of working does not help.

Vu+ Images 3.0 audio works, VTi, audio works and OpenATV audio works.

The defect is more obvious in the OpenPLi 7.0 player or its codec?

This is because the recording with OpenPL's silent recording works with sounds in other E2 distributions.

VU+Duo 4K, the audio settings are?

Now the latest (2019.03.04) distribution inside and no help..

Goes nerves with DUO 4K device, UNO 4K SE works fine..

I think you are running in circles:

 

OpenPLi 7.0 is a stable image, is doesn't get any intermediate updates, so it still has the drivers from december. So updating in the hope these things change is pointless.

 

I run a develop image, being tested in preparation of the 7.1-release, and that has the latest version of the BSP, which contains the 12-02-2019 r0 drivers, which may as well have fixed the problem you have.

 

This has been explained a few times before, you've been pointed towards the latest drivers, and I was under the impression you've tried those? If not, the reason you stil have this issue is rather obvious...

If enable Bypass HDMI EDID checking and move to channel with AAC-HE audio all channel lose audio.
Restart enigma doesn't fix all channel audio problem, only cold boot repair audio.
Bypass HDMI EDID checking enable or disable has no effect on aac-he sounds silence problem.

I have sound on AAC-HE. However need to have downmix on. I also run a own build version, newer than 7.0. The 7.0 and Duo 4K have some problems, so that is no for me. I actually don't care about AAC-HE, since the services that have it (for me) have an AC3 track that I want instead.

My recommendation is to wait for OpenPLi 7.1 and then test.

Please be aware of the settings for audio. They exist both on global level, but also on a per-service level (i.e. for each tv-channel). It is a global settings if per-service settings should be used or not. All these settings can cause confusion.

PS. I need to have downmix on to get sound. It is strange. I think the reason is that it is not actually possible to switch off downmix, but possible to select passthrough.

I agree. Latest PLi is less stable for Duo4k than for other Vu+ receivers. But only because drivers are not mature enough. I dont have problems with basic function, watching TV. Only audio stuttering is annoying but you can fix this by just zapping.

I hope that with 7.1 drivers will fix some annoyances.

No, the audio stuttering still hasn't been fixed (in the latest develop drivers).

Received my DUO4k yesterday and observed that on DVB-T2 there are indeed issues with sound. German channels work fine, Dutch channels (NPO1,2,3) are mute: image but no sound. Changing settings (downmix etc.), updating firmware don't help.

When viewing these channels on my PC using WebIF and VLC player, there is sound however. Maybe the Dutch use a slightly different AAC-HE than the Germans which the present drivers cannot handle. Hope new drivers will solve this issue.

unfortunately AAC-HE audio on hotbird transponder 10775 H 29900 doesn't work on mu Vu+Duo4K with the latest original frimware and pli neither i think there must be driver issues

Interesting, I will also check. I am dissapointed with Vu+ and Duo4k. They are again very slow with fixing issues, also their priorities are messed up. They are rather adding new features (MIS in 45308X DVB-S2X for example) instead of fixing existing issues.

“Their priorities“ are not mixed up - they make money by adding new “hot“ features like DVB-S2X“ - fixing costs them money.
I have never noticed that „a customer issue“ is a „Vu+ issue ..... or priority“
