I can't reproduce that. What exactly are you doing?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

I am trying to stream a channel within the local network zgemma - pc (vlc)
(ex: http://192.168.1.5:8...FFF0000:0:0:0:)

I have information in zgemma that is streaming but vlc is trying to open the transmission but it does not open.

Using a flaky wifi?

A standard stream (and your box doesn't support anything else) is an MPEG-TS over http, which is realtime data. Any latency and jitter on the connection is a problem, as realtime means no buffering.

Open in the webbrowser the openwebinterface with as url your box IP (for you 192.168.1.5) and click on tv in front of channelname. You can now open it in VLC. So in this way your certain the url is right. Best way is to place your box in standby so that tuner isn't used by anything else.

Yes, all this is being done.
my question is openpli takes port 8001 by default?
There is no option that is off and do not let the transmission pass?

8001 is default, always active, and there is no firewall on the box.

so I find it strange to try out with public IP, and the doors open to the box.

stream feedback in openpli 7 already tested? this to know that the problem comes from here and not from the firmware.

Public IP? You are not connecting your box to the internet, are you? That is waiting for a hack to happen... Besides that, the internet has way to much latency and jitter to make a TS stream work properly...

Also, the web interface generates m3u8 files, which contains the URL the client needs to connect to, and this URL has the IP of the box, not any public IP natted by a router...
