WebIF inoperable

's foto florra 20 jul 2008

I am unable to control my DM500 via the web interface. The WebIF page displays incorrectly and the 'Box Control', 'Channel Info' & 'Shutdown' features are visible but not accessible.

I have three networked PCs that routinely utilise the excellent features of the Web-X-TV. I also utilise the Web interface for timer recording amongst other things. This recent problem has got me scratching my head.

I am using the Iolite 2008 image.

Can anyone please advise if there's any way to resolve this issue without needing to reload the entire image.

I have only ever seen this once (and god knows I have flashed 1,000's of boxes) and it was on a box I upgraded from Flubber to Iolite via fashwizard. A simple reflash with engima via dreamUP using flash erase and a restore with flashwizard brought the webIF back to life 100%. As jade is now out, why not take the opportunity to upgrade to it and fix many problems all at once?

And you did not want a reload option (I did read that bit too).

Thanks Jonc. I'm a novice with this technology hence the reason to avoid reflashing the image. If thats the only way to fix it then that's what I'll have to do.

Looks like I'll have to read up on how to reflash the image.
