I think it has to do with this issue

and the fix of OWIF, which is not include in openpli 7.0 rel

Unti this fix openwebif can´t handle text input fields.
you must wait on an new version which includes the OWIF with this fix.

Until a new ipk ist available you can copy this config.pyo (included in the config.zip) into
/root/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/OpenWebif/controllers/views/ajax

Have you tested my attached config.pyo for OWIF. On my box it works with string types now

Copied the .pyo file to the correct location, and indeed the setting appeared in OWIF.
Did not test it though.

Not at home the next few weeks. Can someone create a PR on reporefs.conf, with the correct commit hash?
Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

The openpli release 7.0 on the feed now has the new OWIF with string parameter handling on settings
