You might try another skin which actually has a blinking dot.
We really don’t prefer, a more friendlier way of expressing that we hate blinking indicators. ;)

If I had all the knowledge I had no questions at all.

Ok, thanks. I am used to DM which have a very strong indication  that a recording is going on. So you do not switch it off by accident when you try anoter img etc. I have thre boxes in my "TV-room" so sometimes I make misstakes when one box is recording. (I am also rather old). :)

You can change it by yourself if your can work with an editor on your box.

The definitions are in the file

/usr/share/enigma2/skin_display.xml

In these file you must search for the string

session.RecordState

In these lines you can change the size by changing the size parameter to higher values

enable blinking is possible with

replacing

 <convert type="ConditionalShowHide"></convert>

into

 <convert type="ConditionalShowHide">Blink</convert>

in the same widget

Don't forget that you can enable the record indicator in service/bouquet list.
