I think the bug started with OpenPli 6. When picture in picture is activated, the small window in menus etc. will will not show a downscaled version of the entire screen but just a 1:1 cut-out of the large screen instead. There are some other small graphic errors too when picture in picture is active, for example in the movie file list.

This is of course not a critical bug, just irritating. So I wonder if this ever will be fixed?

I think VU+ (at least Ultimo4K)... This is a driver issue... (7.0 and develop)

An issue in the movielist I'm not aware off... Can you make a screenshot/photo?

Most box that I own have the same behavior, so this is not specific to VU+ I think.

Once a PiP widows is active and you enter the menu the screen in the PiG is not downscale, this can be a hardware limitation that cannot handle at the same time a PiP windows and a PiG windows.

The workaround is probably to stop the PiP when Menu is press and then enable it back when leaving the menu, but then people will complaint that that in the PiG we don't have the main and PiP windows displayed. :-)

It is indeed box/driver depended... for some boxes the main screen will not scale when PIP is activated (see also when you swap through the modi with 0).

Well yes, but Uno4KSE and Solo2 and ET9200 (thai is all boxes I own) too!!! Solo2 and ET9200 handled this correctly before OpenPli 6. So it is not a hardware issue.

All images between 6.0 and 7.0, have the same issue.

The small graphic errors are transparent pixels around the edges of color graphics where the picture in the background shines through.

In old openpli we stopped de pip when PIG was shown.. that was why there was no visible issue there

Ah, thanks, that explanation makes sense!

Maybe one could stop it like in the old times and then restart it automatically when one returns to the screen?

Stopping it has also disadvantages...’you add a hack to fix it that way... better the manufacturers solve it in drivers... they should auto hide pip when pig or simply do it correctly.
Why should you work a round it eg for ultimate4k which can do quadpip and then no pig with pip???

Sure, would be best if manufacturers handled it correctly...

And most 'other' images do not have this issue as they simply do not have PIG-skins by default... So actually this 'bug' does not show-up that frequent...
