At the risk of another blond moment..... I have a related Issue

My epg shows for example the bbc one program impossible was on at 16:15-17:00

In the UK it was actually on at 14:15 - 15:00

I am one hour ahead so I would expect to see it showing at 15:15 - 16:00

My system time is correctly set at my local time (Setup/sytem/system time)

So why is the epg adding one extra hour ?

I don't know. I am in the UK, use epgimport data only, and here they are indeed ok. ;)

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

No worries I will try your earlier suggestion and only use the epg import epg and see if that fixes it.... On the openvix i had It worked even when I had both uk and central europe channels all on the same box.

If not I will try your actual image again and see if that fixes it.

Cheers

Are you sure the time displayed in the info bar (when you press ok), is your correct local time?

Afaik all EPG events carry UTC time, so if your local time is correct, the EPG should be correct too.

I can't imagine this to be a software issue, this is dictated by DVB standards...

Hi

Yes but interestingly when I try to sync the time however which way other than manual the time always comes back as one hour ahead of the actual time. I even changed the time server to the local one.

Perhaps this Image is somehow hard wired to Russian time or something

Possible. Could also be that the timezone database is incorrect, this happens every one and then, especially with summer time settings. I think there was an issue with Europe/Istanbul some time ago.

Maybe you check select one from the list that is in the same timezone as you

I didn't say "look at the channels", I said, "switch your box to another city that is in your same timezone".

Ah Ok, oh well too late now

So far the new image has fixed the Issue so looking good.

Even on that forum the guy mentions something vague about needing to enter Kiev, Ukraine in the time settings so I suspect it was somehow set up funny.

Cheers  :thumbs-up:

Downside of open source is that anyone can take our code, change it, compile it, and call it OpenPLi. And then people end up here with these type of vague issues...
