Is the VU+ Ultimo receiver still supported for 7.0? There is a binary of 7.0 on the downloads page, but for some reason the Wiki has no flashing instructions. I assume the flashing is done pretty much the same way as the other VU+ hardware, but I'd like to be sure? Also, anyone have pointers to instructions on how to preserve settings on the box before reflashing? Thanks!

Yes, If it's not in the wiki, it's because nobody had added it yet. I'm not sure if we still have one in the team, so maybe someone can jump in?

If you already have OpenPLi on the box, it has something called Autobackup. Depending on the version it is either in the menu, or available as a plugin.

It will make a backup on USB stick (perferably). If you plug the stick back in after the flash has finished, the backup will be detected when the box restarts, and you will be prompted for a restore. Backups from older versions will automatically be converted (where possible).

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Excellent, I do have that installed, but I hadn't realized that it would also do version conversions. Thanks!

Please note that by default it only makes a backup of everything in the image by default, plus any cccam or oscam config.

If you have installed anything else, you have to check if it doesn't store any config outside of /etc/enigma2, which will not be in a backup unless you add it.
