If you see that screen the box has booted succesfully.

If it doesn't continue, either enigma crashes on startup, or you don't have a valid startup channel configured, so it stays there because it can't switch to a tune into a channel and show it. If that is the case, it should still respond to the remote.

If enigma crashes, you need to login via telnet, type the command "dmesg", check for errors and post those there so we can have a look.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

If you type the command

ps | grep enigma

do you get something like

 1603 root      2776 S    {enigma2.sh} /bin/sh /usr/bin/enigma2.sh
 1612 root      405m S    /usr/bin/enigma2
 2462 root      2576 S    grep enigma

?

If so, enigma is running fine and you have a configuration issue. The remote should work fine too.

If not, you could also check the error message log, using

cat /var/log/messages

and look for errors.

Try with openwebif http://ip-address from your box

You see there a remote on the left, try this out to see if anything is reacting. Maybe your remote is damaged in some way.

Good. That means we have now established that enigma crashes.

Next, type in this command:

ENIGMA_DEBUG_LVL=4 enigma2

it will write it's debug output to the console. Capture the output, and post it here (in a code block or as an attached .log file) so we can see why it crashes.

Sorry for reply on this old topic but maybe someone else having problems with boot or stuck in a bootloop (hisilicon logo start over and over) try this solution.

Change the ac/dc power adapter.

Happened with a few days old receiver, enough power to start, but refuse start or flash image.

This can happen on many models. Last week I had to replace a power supply of an et7x00. Tuner failed. Swapped the PSU and all worked well again. Even on this older hardware. ;)
