We are aware of the fact that they created a BSP but that appeared not to be a properly designed one.
They promised to create a proper BSP and from that moment the contact was over. That was somewhere at the end of February.

I’ve been informed that there have been some developments concerning their BSP.

In case these developments are positive you might notice a change on our downloadpage. ;)

There were some developments last weekend but at the moment ‘the ball’ is with them so the initiative needs to come from them.

I have performed some tests and I have send a testbuild to Octagon. They know our wishlist so now it’s wait and see.

But don’t expect an image within a few days. Unless their changes are that good that we actually can add this box to our regular buildingprocess.

No developments during the last days despite a promise that the BSP would have been changed to our standards. :(

They made me happy for a short while.

Most people would applaud an outfit that tries to provide something additional and outside the specification of the receiver - compared to most manufacturers that cannot even spell the words “fix drivers“

If they get it working I have no doubt other manufacturers  will jump on the bandwagon

Being bitchy and negative is easy - doing something positive takes motivation and skill

Gigablue Quad 4K & UE 4K
.........FBC Tuners:
------------------> DUR-Line DCR 5-1-8-L4 Multiswitch to 1.5M dish(28.2E)
------------------> Spaun SUS 5581/33 NFA Multiswitch to 80 cm dish(19.2E)
.........DVB-S2X into 90cm dish (27.5W)

Octagon SF8008 DVB-S2X tuner using Legacy ports on multiswitches
Edision Osmio 4K+, Zgemma H9Combo and Multibox using Legacy ports on multiswitches
Zgemma H9twin & Zgemma H9 C/S mode into Giga4K

I would applaud if it's an opensource project when you mean Netflix. Now you have a not working Netflix app and customers must wait for the manufacture till the issues are solved.

Yes it is updated but they actually made it worse. With the previous BSP we were able to build an image with a huge size. After they changed the BSP we are still able to build some kind of an image which doesn’t flash nor boot. They promised to investigate the issue and hopefully they can fix this.
