Did you miss this?

Go to menu - Plugins - Software Management - Advanced Options - Package Management, and install the firmware-rtl8723bu and kernel-module-8723bu packages, and then restart the box.

If your stick has a chipset that is indeed supported by this driver, it should now be recognised.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

It does exist in the feed, for both the Solo2 and the Zero 4K:

[build@openpli-dist openpli-7-release]# find . -name "*8723bu*" | grep -E 'vusolo2|vuzero4k'
./vusolo2/kernel-module-8723bu-3.13.5_4.3.16-r2.0.0_vusolo2.ipk
./vusolo2/rtl8723bu_4.3.16-r2.0.0_vusolo2.ipk
./vuzero4k/kernel-module-8723bu-4.1.20-1.9_4.3.16-r0.0.0_vuzero4k.ipk
./vuzero4k/rtl8723bu_4.3.16-r0.0.0_vuzero4k.ipk

Are you sure you have OpenPLi 7.1 installed?

I have them on the box too:

For any new issues you’d best create a new topic.
In that way other users with an equal problem can find your issue + the possible solution in an easy way.

Many answers to your question can be found in our wiki: Just one click away from this "solutioncentre".

If I had all the knowledge I had no questions at all.
