Does that mean that 1 FBC module, that have 2 inputs  = 16 (2x 8) tuners ?  and with 2 FBC modules = 32 tuners

No. 1 FBC module = 2 root tuners (each with an input), and 6 leaf tuners (looped through on one of the root tuners), makes 8 tuners per FBC module.

What did you mean with "providing your setup can provide 8 SCRs"

In a DiseqC setup, the entire frequency spectrum recieved by the LNB is send to the tuner, and the tuners tunes on a transponder frequency in that spectrum. Which is why you are limited to one per cable, no matter how many tuners you loop through on it.

In a Unicable setup, the LNB does the tuning, and then maps the transponder to a userband or SCR. There can be up to 32 userbands per cable, which is why you can connect up to 32 tuners to a single Unicable cable. How many userbands are actually available depends on the LNB and/or switch setup.

I will buy a new "One cable" LNB with with as many "User bands" as possible.  I know that there are LNB's with 3 outputs,  2x "old type" LNB output + 1 "Sat CR" output with 24 "Userbands"/Channels.

If you only need to receive one satellite position, that is an option.

Using one cable from the Sat CR  output on the LNB and at the other end of the cable (in my living room) I use a 4-way splitter and connect to each of the four inputs on the FBC modules. Two per module.

Possible, make sure those splitters are Unicable splitters, simple ones don't work.

Is that enough except for the configuration in the box? or do I need some more hardware?

The Sat. Box will probably bee Vu+ Ultimo4K or Duo4K, with 2x FBC DVB-S2x modules.

You're expecting more than 8 transponders simultaneously in use on a single box?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Probably not, it's more if there would be a problem with one Module. In that case is it better to buy another FBC tuner or a Dual DVB-S2 tuner?

Regarding hdd, why an AV disc? I have not thought about this for many years, but I didn't know that AV disc is used anymore. Maybe it doesn't belong here, but is it any application (today) where you need an AV disc?
(I really hope now that I use the the name AV disc correctly, this is a very special disc type) However...

You don't need it in your STB. You can use an ordinary hdd. Seagate have a 5TB 2½" and it works without problem in DUO 4K.

Regaring tuners and FBC, it is complicated. For example "root" and "leaf" is just how it is in the software design of OpenPLi. For a simple setup you don't need to know about this. An FBC tuner module in the box, a unicable LNB (CR) and one coax cable - and your fine. Well in a simple setup there you watch signals from one satellite. You can in this case receive signals from 8 transponders at the same time and record even more channels. However watch out, many unicable LNBs only have 4 CR outputs. You need 8. It is LNBs with 24 and 32 CR outputs available.

Edit: Sorry I realize I wrote unclear. With CR outputs I mean number of channels in one output connector.

You don't need to put in the same signal in the two inputs of an FBC-tuner-module. All 8 'tuners' inside have access to both of the inputs. So it is enough to put the signal into one of the two inputs.

A 5TB 2,5" disk is with almost 100% certainty an SMR disk.

SMR disks requires tracks to be written in sequence because they overlap, which is why they have large (128MB+) caches. Once the cache fills up, it has to be written to disk, and the performance of the disk plummets.

This means that as long as the disk can keep up with your writing (aided by the cache), you're fine. As soon as it can't do it anymore, your recordings will have dropouts.

The fact you say it works fine means you haven't reached this point yet. ;)

This is not the case, it is how the FBC module (for DVB-S) actually works if you have a legacy (DiseqC) setup, where you can't loop though cables without consequences.

If you have a Unicable setup, it is not relevant, as Unicable is a single cable design, and the restrictions of a DiseqC setup are not present.

not only unicable can support the 8 tuners of a FBC Tuner. Also a classic two or one  cable installation without unicable can support the  8 tuners. With one classic cable all 8 tuners are on the same SAT quadrant and with two classic cables the 8 tuners can come from two of the four SAT quadrants.

Thera are restrictions with the quadrants but in germany for examble you have the most german channels in two quadants. only some are in a thrid or fourth quadant. In practice that is not a big restriction. I use it since twq year and my wife makes many recordings and she has no problems with the quadrant restrictions.

So if you came from a classic dual tuner setup you can easy switch to a FBC tuner box without installation of unicable and you can use 8 tuners instead of 2 tuners.

Do I need to buy a Conax CI-module or will my "Canal Digital Nordic" card work in the  Smartcard reader together with oscam softcam as it does in my Dreambox?

Works with oscam.

The fact you say it works fine means you haven't reached this point yet. ;)

Well that is possible to calculate, or test in real life. Maybe some day I will test more. Record 10 channels at the same time, without any packet lost - is possble, since I have done it. However I didn't do this for so long time. Maybe only a few minutes, I don't remember now. Maybe if I would like to have 'fun' a day, I can record an hour or so. ...sorry, maybe this will never happen. Oh yes, I really checked the recording files and continuty counter of the ts packets.

Ok, I was a little bit worried that I would have to use a Conax module. I read in a forum that there was a guy that had some problems. I think that the problem was something like that the Conax module couldn't decode more than one at the same time, the others have to be decoded later (offline) and very short after because the code will change. I have never had that problem with my dreambox but I have heard about similar problema from other poeple.

The driver problem with VU+ Dou4K. What are they? What is it that isn't working correctly?
