Lyngsat is changing every few months 25/26 East satellite chart, so our satellites.xml database is often invalid.

Until March 2019 :

26 E : BADR 4-5-6-7

25,8 E: EsH 2

25,5 E: EsH 1

April 2019:

26 E : BADR 4-5-6-7-EsH2
25.5 E : EsH 1

From April 2019:

25.8 E : BADR-4-5-6-7-EsH1-EsH2

Now back again :

26 E : BADR 4-5-6-7-EsH2

25.5 E : EsH 1

Will it be the last one ???

We update the satellite.xml on a weekly basis, so if it is invalid, it won't be for long.

KingOfSat has EsH 1 seperate from the others as well, so hopefully it will stay like this.

Currently in use: VU+Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), Amiko Viper T2C (T2), SAB Alpha Triple HD (S2+T2), Zgemma H3.T2C (T/C), Zgemma H6 (fallback), VU+Zero (fallback)

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

note: I do not provide support via PM !

I don't blame OpenpLi, of course.

Wouldn't it be possible to "merge" those positions into 1 ?

The same applies to 7W/8W.

25.5 on ESH1 and 26 on others is correct, since ESH2 is at 25.9E. I hope it stays this way.

However I don't agree with the merge of adjacent satellites. This is useful only when someone receives with very strong signals both positions.

For instance in my case 7W and 7.3W would be better separated, as the extremely marginal signal makes it impossible to receive both satellites together. Luckily there are user defined xmls for such cases.

Where are you located. I thought Greece. Should be booming in there. Here I don't have any trouble receiving those two on a single fixed dish setup.

Trouble with moving these positions around is it breaks everyone's settings. Have you tried setting 7w as a non USALS position.

I'm in Northern Greece, it's absent here, only a couple of frequencies can be received. The satellite is booming only from Athens and to the south.

In order to watch these 7.3W TPs I have to use a manual position, but then I lose stuff on 7W. The only solution is a custom xml that has these positions separated.

Thing is you are outside the coverage area. For people inside the coverage area it makes sense that this is a single position.

How big is the dish?

In the past Lyngsat has been known to "move" other positions "around" as well. Some of them have been "fixed" in our gather script, maybe some others need to be added there.

These are the fixed positions.

'57.0E', '56.0E', '54.9E', '53.0E', '49.0E', '45.0E', '42.0E', '39.0E', '36.0E',
'31.5E', '30.5E', '28.2E', '26.0E', '25.5E', '23.5E', '21.6E', '20.0E', '19.2E',
'17.0E', '16.0E', '13.0E', '10.0E', '9.0E', '7.0E', '4.8E', '3.0E', '0.8W', '4.0W',
'5.0W', '7.0W', '8.0W', '11.0W', '12.5W', '15.0W', '18.0W', '20.0W', '22.0W',
'24.5W', '27.5W', '30.0W', '31.5W', '34.5W', '37.5W', '40.5W', '43.1W', '45.0W',
'50.0W', '53.0W', '55.5W', '58.0W'

Maximum skew distance is 0.3º

So I can't see why the OP sees a change.

Whole point is so small changes on Lyngsat don't wreck people's settings.
