Hi,

We use openpli 6.2 release and mutand hd51.

We use ci + module after some time (week or longer) cpu rise on process

1516     2 root     RW       0   0%  49% [sci0]

 08:47:35 up 26 days, 13:04,  load average: 1.27, 1.35, 1.39

After reboot:

1516     2 root     SW       0   0%   0% [sci0]

08:49:04 up 39 min,  load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00

Why sci0 do not go back to SW mode?

What is RW mode of sci0?

I suspect emm receive doing something wrong.

How we can solve this problem?

Thanks for suggestion!

sci0 is the card reader device, that has no relation whatsoever with a CI+ module?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I think this is manufacturer driver. We don’t know how they work. We don’t have the source code.

No.

Driver stuff (including card readers) are notoriously heavy on the CPU.

Blame the manufacturer, we can't do anything here.
