@samsamsam.
As far as I’m concerned you’ll have to wait until your weight is an ounce. This is the translation of a Dutch expression. ;)
AFAIK we requested several times to show any prove of the fact that the license isn’t respected but so far no prove whatsoever.
I can’t judge nor feel like investigating whether he does or does not respect your license. As far as I am concerned the both of will have to fight that out via PM and NOT on our forum. This is the last time I do this request.

@samsamsam,

I'm getting very tired of this repeated discussion.

Person A claims his code is used without permission, person B denies and/or doesn't respond to allegations.

We. as owner of the OpenPLi project, are responsible for what goes into the image, and as we are committed to open source and adherance to licencing, we err on the side of caution when it comes to licenced code.

Which is one of the reasons why TSMedia is not available in OpenPLi. That won't stop people talking about it, and it won't stop people using it.

We, as owner of this forum, are not the copyright police. It is not our job to determine whether A or B is right. It is not our job to prosecute or punish A or B.

We are no party in this dispute, and we don't want to be. Besides that, there is nothing we can do, we can ban people, we can remove posts, we can remove texts from posts, it all won't solve your problem, you've just made your problem our problem.  Which is something we won't accept.

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

The most important part:

"Autor każdej modyfikacji zobowiązany jest do wysłania, z potwierdzeniem odbioru, szczegółowego opsu modyfikacji w raz z jej kodem źródłowym na adres e-mail: samsamsam@o2.pl."

"Anyone is allowed to modify plugin E2iPlayer but each change need to be confirmed via email samsamsam@o2.pl"

and another important part:

"Zabrania się dostarczania niekompletnego kodu pluginu E2iPlayer bez uzyskania wcześniejszej zgody głównego dewelopera."

"It is prohibited to share only part of plugin code unless you will get agreement of main developer"

Main developer, architect, coordinator:

- @samsamsam

Do you have any further question?

@WanWizard

You are distorting facts.

I am only asking you to compliance with the law and not allow to share on your platform illegal code nothing more.

copyright claim  - I call for compliance with the law - nothing special.

"We, as owner of this forum, are not the copyright police. It is not our job to determine whether A or B is right. It is not our job to prosecute or punish A or B."

You not need to do this. This is obvious who is author of the code. You exacly know this.

If I will put here link to download of any commercial movie or game, then you will also answer same and leave it here?

No? This is hypocritical. I had some opinion about administrator of this forum and you only prove that this was correct.

@Frenske

You wrote "AFAIK we requested several times to show any prove of the fact that the license isn’t respected but so far no prove whatsoever."

Where there is such request? This is NOT true.

What exactly proof do you need? What kind of proof will be enough for you?

Maybe it helps when you start to post your licence limitations in English so the whole world could read it.

anyone looks to my code and hist code he will know that he claims are just rubbish and no need for all these discussion here.

This make me laughing.

This true if not e2iplayer shipped with more than 300 hundreds modules breaking the rules of the websites  and many are illegal

I don't know. All I'm saying is that you two need to sort this out, we're stuck in the middle, we don't want to play the police man here, but we also don't want to condone illegal activities.

As I'm an experienced developer myself, my 2cts:

  • idea's can not be copyrighted
  • (implementation of) design patterns can not be copyrighted
  • generic code can not be copyrighted
  • reverse engineered code does not violate a copyright
But blatently copying functional pieces of code clearly violates copyright. So I agree with you that the easiest way to settle this issue, is to clearly point out what code exactly is used without permission, and to show the copyright is duly owned.

And I am very away of the fact that other players violate rights as well, which is why we don't include those in our feeds either, and don't allow them to be downloadable/installable from our forum. What people do by themselfs, using Google or other forums, is their problem.

First i do not want to start the this discussion again but my words for respected moderates of second my favorite forum.
i committed exactly to what been been said by WanWizard exactly about copyright  in my tool about New virtual keyboard and i asked who removed the links read the my module first and if you find more than 20% similar lines do what you want,sure 20% lines similar not so much because we have a lot of similar import statements,in fact any two different plugins may have more than 20% similarities and similar target plugins may have up to 40 similarities in lines,my module  i am sure you will   find less than 20% similarities and you will not find single code line similar from more than 2000 lines a part from import statements like screen,messagebox and else.
so on what bases you removed my links?
i know you are not in side of samsamsam,sure not personally but because the most person causing troubles in the history of this forum and i admit that you want to avoid more troubles from him but not fair to take action against my side without clear evidence i did something wrong.
even without looking to the code do you think this is normal behavior from normal person closed his all projects and now going from forum to other forum  insulting peoples and accuses them and finally  you listen to him and believe him.

Finally as starter of thread please i asked to close this thread or to put my links again.
