VU+ DIUO2 4K

Is it possible to have in future release, in Menu, a function to recall settings (with plugins, picons downloaded)?.

This function is only present just after a flash.

There is another one with a plugin system but the plugins and picons aren't downloaded.

Another thing : Disecq ABCD has changed since one of two years, something is different. it is impossible to use a switch. It was ok in the past with a VU+ UNO.

Actually, It is ok with an ATLAS 200S.

It is probably a VuPlus driver problem because i try another images and same problem.

You can see the last post : https://forums.openp...-release/page-5

Isn't there a restore option when you select the settings backup?

Menu > Setup > Auto backup > [Menu] > ...

and you have two options there: 'Run autoinstall'(packages) and 'Restore'(settings backup)

I have a main box (vu duo4k) and a client box (vu zero), both on the latest 7.2rc. When I open the timer menu on the client box, every entry has one (and the same) directory. However on the main box the times have different directories.

This "same" directoy is also the standard directory when I add a timer on the client box. So it does not respect the standard directory from settings.

Any way to get this changed? I actually do not understand the option in "fallback tuner" which says "customize openwebif". What is it supposed to do? :)

Thanks

If you don't know what it is, you don't need it. ;) It's for some non-standard webif installations (fallback uses the WebIf API to communicate with the server box).

There is no real-time connection between client and server.

Afaik the client retrieves the list of bookmark locations from the server box (movielist, yellow button) and uses those as possible locations for a remote timer.

Hi all,

thanks for this release. This is the first image / release which allows me to use my Formuler F4 Turbo DVB-C tuner.

With all previous images, the DVB-C scan did not find any channels.

-> very nice !!!

however:

sound is not working for the DVB-C channels (sound is sent via HDMI to A/V receiver -> has been tested with other devices / receivers, overall setup incl. cabeling etc. should be fine).

Any hint how to investigate this issue?

Specific channels, or only some channels?

If you check menu - info - service, what does is say about the audio format used? Does it work if you press the yellow key and activate downmix?

There is currently one other user, with a different box, who has reported audio issues with radio stations on DVB-C, with the same setup as you (HDMI to an Amp).

ok fair enough, but why does the client box just show the last bookmark of the main box on every existing timer (even if another bookmark was set on the main box) and chooses this last (main box) bookmark as primary location on new timers set by the client box. I would say for me (my bookmarks are identical on both boxes) it would be logical if the client box sets the location from the setup (client box default movie location).

For the details you need Littlesat, who made it. But he's on holiday at the moment.

I've had a look on my test box.  There indeed seems to be something wrong. If I open an existing timer (on the remote box), it displays the default recording location of the client, not the location set in the timer. It even does that when the location in the timer is present as a local bookmark.

So something that needs to be looked at.

That option switches the screen on the LCD, if you have defined multiple, as the name implies. It does not start or open LCD4Linux.
