I have recently upgraded to the latest version and now, when I switch channels I often get the Tune failed! message.

The sequence:

I zap to another channel

the OSD shows 0dB signal for about 1 second

then for about one second the message Tune failed! shows

and then comes the picture and sound

I reverted to my backup (2019/02/11) and it works perfectly, zapping is almost instant

I was able to 100% reproduce it by zapping between CT 24 HD and regionalnitelevize.cz on Astra 23.5E back and forth.

Both are FTA channels

I have a T90 with 8 twin LNBs, 2 EMP-CENTAURI S8/1PCP-W2 DiSEqC switches, the outputs from the switches are connected to the two inputs of the DVB-S2 FBC tuner.

I did not change any tuner settings.

The tuner setting:

config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.diseqcMode=1_1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.uncommittedDiseqcCommand=1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.2.diseqcMode=1_1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.2.uncommittedDiseqcCommand=2
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.3.diseqcMode=1_1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.3.uncommittedDiseqcCommand=3
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.4.diseqcMode=1_1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.4.uncommittedDiseqcCommand=4
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.5.diseqcMode=1_1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.5.uncommittedDiseqcCommand=5
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.6.diseqcMode=1_1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.6.uncommittedDiseqcCommand=6
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.7.diseqcMode=1_1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.7.powerMeasurement=false
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.7.uncommittedDiseqcCommand=7
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.8.diseqcMode=1_1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.8.uncommittedDiseqcCommand=8
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.48.lnb=3
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.90.lnb=4
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.100.lnb=4
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.130.lnb=5
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.192.lnb=6
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.235.lnb=7
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.282.lnb=8
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.3550.lnb=1
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.3560.lnb=1
config.Nims.0.advanced.sat.3592.lnb=2
config.Nims.0.advanced.sats=48
config.Nims.0.configMode=advanced
config.Nims.1.configMode=equal
config.Nims.8.multiType=1
config.Nims.9.multiType=1

Is this a bug or do I need to adjust some settings?

Why are these there?

config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.diseqcMode=1_1
config.Nims.0.advanced.lnb.1.uncommittedDiseqcCommand=1

There is nothing uncommited in your setup, these are just regular 8/1 switches?

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Ultimate (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

Many answers to your question can be found in our new and improved wiki.

Deinstall lcd4linux. Or deactivate it.

@PLi: There were several discussions about it and I think we decided to remove it from the image as it's not needed (It's only needed for one box. Was it vuduo?).

I'm not sure I understand ...

I have attached a screenshot of my LNB setting in the GUI (there is nothing about "uncommited"), a picture of the switch and a debug log.

Is my setting wrong ? It worked perfectly, so I assumed it's correct ...

How to set it correctly?

Ok, ignore it. It was removed.

@HWTest: Have you installed lcd4linux plugin? If yes, please remove, reboot and test again.

betacentauri: OK, but how do I make the LCD to show my custom screens?

Edit: Yes, I have it installed.

Please test first. It's a known problem with the lcd4linux plugin.

If it solves your problem, we can think about solution for your LCD screens. But I'm no expert in it. So I hope some other will join.

Tested, just disabled the plugin, rebooted and it works like a charm.

No tune failed, channel switching is almost instant (again).

But the LCD is all black now :-(

All black shouldn't be the case. Something should be shown.

But let's wait for someone with more knowledge about LCD skins than me...

Just removing LCD4Linux leaves the "special" LCD skin place, you should also remove it. If you're not sure, re-flash.

BTW I've never seen this issue myself. So "something" triggers the issue, but we don't know what.

I uninstalled the plugin from the plugin menu and it's a little bit better.

But just a little bit - it shows something, when I browse recordings but the rest is all black (watching channels, watching recordings ...)

I found the LCD also works when I'm in the EPG but that's it ...

If you have a skin_user.xml file in root/etc/enigma2 try deleting (or renaming) it and reboot.
