No, a software update from the menu updates all packages reported by "opkg list-upgradable".

Currently in use: VU+ Duo 4K (2xFBC S2), VU+ Solo 4K (1xFBC S2), uClan Usytm 4K Pro (S2+T2), Octagon SF8008 (S2+T2), Zgemma H9.2H (S2+T2)

Due to my bad health, I will not be very active at times and may be slow to respond. I will not read the forum or PM on a regular basis.

I am sure there should be a conflict when installing all those three packages. Unless he used three different storage devices, they will overwrite each other. He should perform the command line functions as suggested.

Maybe deinstall all Picons. Then also check the picon folder whether it’s really empty. If not, delete everything via Telnet or similar and then reinstall the Picons.

Earlier tonight i deleted ALL picons in picons-dir and started over with the same problems.

Does he have a choice of which packages to update performing an update?

Sent from my Moto G (5S) using Forum Fiend v1.3.3.

No, they all came up in the upgrade automatically.

You shouldn't (only) delete the files, you need to uninstall the picon packages too (menu - plugins - red button).

Once both are gone, you can install the one you want.

I have now deleted all picons in picons diectory. Now starting do download via menu - Add on (I guess it's so in English...) and green button - Picons - snp-full.400x240 - install in flash.

Now it only took 1 min or so.

Once again, deleting and uninstalling are two different things. If you delete instead of remove/uninstall, opkg thinks the item is still installed and will try to update it next time the package is marked as changed.

Menu > Plugins > Red (Remove plugins)
